Well, Shero didn't waste any time.
In what could be a sign of more movement to come on the Penguins' blueline, I am told that Penguins GM has acquired defenseman Jordan Leopold from the Florida Panthers for a 2nd round pick in this year's NHL entry draft.
The team is in the process of calling in the trade with the NHL now.
Leopold is a smaller, puck-moving defenseman in the Alex Goligoski mold. He has 7 goals, 11 assists and 18 points in 61 games. He's also -7 on the season.
Speaking of GoGo, I think this increases the odds GoGo is on the way out, perhaps for a winger.
More soon.
